An insurance executive in Morecambe, Lancashire will appear on Britain’s biggest TV quiz show, The Chase.

John Haydock, a director of local brokerage firm ASK Insurance, will participate in the game show hosted by Bradley Walsh on ITV. The episode will air on March 02 at 5pm, according to news website The Visitor.

With about 1,000 shows and 10 seasons to date, the global hit The Chase features contestants that play against a professional quizzer, known as the “chaser”, who attempts to prevent them from winning a cash prize.

Contestants must answer general knowledge questions in order to reach the Final Chase, where they could win thousands of pounds.

The Visitor reported that Haydock is tight-lipped about the outcome of his episode and which “chaser” he faced.

According to the report, this is not the first time that the 44-year-old local insurance boss has appeared on television quiz shows.

When he was still a schoolboy in 1985, Haydock represented Morecambe High School in the children’s TV programme Knock Your Block Off hosted by Steve Blacknell.

In 2013, Haydock also appeared on the BBC daytime game show Beat The Pack hosted by Jake Humphrey.

Outside insurance, Haydock also does murder mystery acting for the After Dark Theatre Company in Morecambe, according to The Visitor. In the upcoming The Chase episode, he will be seen wearing the theatre company’s red and black colours.
