KPMG UK has appointed Trevor Jones to serve as the head of its insurance practice.

As UK insurance practice head, Jones will lead KPMG’s team in serving clients across the insurance spectrum, which includes insurers, reinsurers, and brokers. Through his appointment, Jones succeeds the previous practice head, Simon Ranger, who takes on new responsibilities as vice chair.

With more than 30 years of insurance experience, Jones is an industry veteran – with 24 of those years spent at KPMG. He most recently led the firm’s UK actuarial practice, serving as a consultant to the global life insurance industry. According to KPMG, Jones has a “deep understanding of the current issues impacting UK and global insurers,” thanks to his extensive experience across the insurance space.

“I would like to congratulate Trevor on his appointment and thank Simon for all his achievements over the last three years,” said KPMG EMA and UK head of financial services Karim Haji. “Trevor brings a wealth of experience having joined our insurance team over 24 years ago and is well respected among our colleagues and clients.”

“I am excited to be starting this new role,” said Jones. “KPMG has world-class expertise and talent in its insurance practice and I am looking forward to working with the team to help our clients navigate the challenges and opportunities facing the sector today.”
