Effective immediately, Florence Bidard (pictured) is taking on the role of liabilities head at Liberty Specialty Markets (LSM) in Paris.

Bidard comes onboard from AIG, where she spent more than seven years and held various positions including development and relationship brokerage manager. At LSM, she will oversee the underwriting and development of the French unit’s general civil, professional civil, and environmental liability books.

“Our suite of liability solutions is a key part of our product portfolio, and Florence’s broad experience of underwriting and relationship management will be instrumental in helping us achieve our growth ambitions,” commented France general manager Richard Deguettes.

The new head of liabilities holds a Master’s degree in business law; a DESS (Diplôme d’études supérieures spécialisées) in insurance law from the University of Caen; and a Master’s degree in European law from the University of Edinburgh.

“She joins at an exciting time as we expand on strong capabilities in France,” added the GM.
