LV= General Insurance has revealed plans to relocate from its Frizzell House base in County Gates, Bournemouth.

The firm is set to make the move after nearly three decades in the building in response to evolving work patterns and sustainability requirements. The relocation, happening at the end of 2024, will bring the general insurance operations to Stour House on Deansleigh Road.

“We’ve been in the Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole area for many years and remaining part of the local community is something that is incredibly important to us,” said Keith Misson, transformation director at LV= General Insurance.

There will be no redundancies as a result of the move, according to Mission. He also said that the new Stour House location was chosen for its ability to provide a sustainable and dynamic work environment.

“When looking for a new office, we wanted a space that could support our aspiration to have a more sustainable working environment and an office that suited the hybrid way of working, offering our people plenty of space to collaborate and make the most of days together,” said Mission.

“With the lease coming to an end at Frizzell House, we felt that now is the right time to move to a new location.”

LV= General Insurance, which operates under the umbrella of Allianz, has been headquartered at Frizzell House since 1996. Not part of Allianz, the LV= life and pensions business is not involved in the planned relocation.

“The announcement is from Allianz who uses some of our office space at Frizzell House, and who has a brand licence agreement to use the LV= name,” the Dorset Echo cited a separate spokesperson as saying.
