Markel UK has made a key appointment with the arrival of Ruth Reaney as manager of its central region, based in Birmingham.
Reaney, who joins from
MS Amlin, will be responsible for the overall performance of the region and for developing and maintaining Markel’s relationships with brokers locally. As a member of the Markel UK national markets management team she will also contribute to the overall success of the division.
Reaney boasts extensive experience in the region having previously been branch manager in Birmingham for MS Amlin for three years and immediately prior to that was regional development underwriter at Fusion Insurance. Simon Fell, managing director of Markel UK, is confident this experience will serve the company well.
