Brokerage giant Marsh is strengthening its efforts in Scotland by revealing a new head of its Glasgow office and a new regional sales leader.

Maureen Robertson will take up the position of head of the Glasgow hub where Marsh provides insurance, risk advisory and claims services to a wide range of organisations. Robertson originally joined the firm back in 2012 and was previously the regional client services director for Scotland having joined from QBE where she was commercial manager. Now she will assume overall responsibility for Marsh’s clients in the region.

Meanwhile, also joining the team is Martin McKenna, taking up the role of regional sales leader having previously been with Zurich Insurance in Glasgow. McKenna will focus on the company’s business development across its Scottish operations.

“Businesses across Scotland are faced with an increasingly complex risk landscape, which is being created by wider economic, geopolitical and regulatory pressures,” said Allan McPherson, zone leader for Scotland and the North of England who both McKenna and Robertson will report to. “To help them manage these risks more effectively, businesses require simple, straightforward advice that protects their future and helps them to grow.

“With her experience, Maureen is well-placed to lead Marsh’s Glasgow office and deliver the best of Marsh to our clients across central Scotland. I’m also delighted that Martin is joining the firm, and look forward to working with him as he builds Marsh’s business in Scotland.”
