Moneysupermarket Group reveals preliminary financial results

Price comparison giant Moneysupermarket Group has released its preliminary financial results for the year ended December 31, 2022.

The company – brands of which include MoneySuperMarket, MoneySavingExpert, TravelSupermarket, Quidco, and Icelolly – published the following preliminary figures:

Adjusted EBITDA is the group’s operating profit before depreciation, amortisation, and impairment and adjusted for other non-underlying costs.

In terms of revenue for the past year, £172 million came from the insurance segment; £103.3 million, money; £39.8 million, home services; £14.9 million, travel; and £57.6 million, cashback. Only home services posted a decline from 2021.

“I’m pleased to report a strong return to revenue and profit growth as we build strategic momentum, said Moneysupermarket Group chief executive Peter Duffy.

“The progress we’ve made gives us the foundation for more product innovation which, amid a tough macroeconomic climate, will help households find even more ways to save with our portfolio of trusted brands.”

Meanwhile the firm’s board has recommended a final dividend of 8.61 pence per share, bringing the proposed full-year dividend to 11.71 pence per share.
