Nick Ryan, who was with QBE for 17 years and most recently served as claims manager for property & casualty in international markets, has a new role to play come August 28.

Making the switch to D L Dale & Others, Syndicate 2525, Ryan has been appointed as London market claims manager at the specialist employers’ and third-party liability Lloyd’s insurer. The syndicate, which was formed in 2000 and is managed by Asta Managing Agency, tapped the industry veteran as part of its development plans.

“We’re very pleased to welcome Nick to the team and to have on board such an experienced and well-regarded claims specialist to support the continued growth of our international liability business,” commented DL Dale & Others, Syndicate 2525 claims director Rob Turner.

“Nick’s in-depth knowledge and long experience of handling claims in multiple jurisdictions further enhances the international claims capability that forms part of our overall offering to brokers and policyholders around the world.”

Syndicate 2525’s liability business in the London market established a primary international liability account in 2014 to underwrite SME business, construction risks, and larger corporate accounts primarily in Canada, Australia, and South Africa.
