RSA non-executive director Charlotte Jones (pictured) will be leaving her chief financial officer post at Jupiter Fund Management Plc to serve in the same capacity at the insurance group.

Expected to assume the role by summer 2019, Jones is succeeding Scott Egan who – as Insurance Business reported earlier this month – has become chief executive of RSA’s UK & International division. In line with her appointment, the new CFO will also transition into an executive director.

“I’ve enjoyed getting to know RSA as a non-executive director,” she commented. “The business has a clear, ambitious strategy and a strong team, and I’m pleased to be getting more deeply involved to help them take their plans forward.”

Meanwhile CEO Stephen Hester, who is looking forward to working with Jones, described her as “an able successor” to Egan.

“We are delighted that Charlotte has agreed to join RSA as CFO,” noted Hester. “She has excellent financial services credentials and is well known to us, having served as a non-executive director on our board over the last year.”
