RSA’s London market underwriters for specialty and wholesale business have relocated to the company’s main London hub.

As of August 24, they will now trade from 20 Fenchurch Street. The move came about due to the expiry of the lease on the fourth floor of the Lloyd’s of London Building, which RSA had occupied since January 2016.

“We have valued the convenience of working with brokers in Lloyd’s over the past 18 months. Unfortunately, the alternative area we have been offered within the building is not practical from a trading perspective,” said Calvin Gray, global risk solutions sales director for specialty and wholesale.

“Returning to 20 Fenchurch Street will enable us to continue to offer our brokers first class support and our underwriters will be available to trade from 9am to 5pm every weekday. Brokers will continue to receive, on a weekly basis, details of underwriter availability and we will ensure you are kept up to date with wider developments in our business.”

The insurer plans to continue checking availability of accommodation in the Lloyd’s building, with the aim of possibly restoring a trading presence there if the appropriate site becomes available.
