Global insurer Sompo International has hired industry veteran Ralph Brand to serve as president of the company’s Continental Europe operations.
“I am thrilled to join the Sompo International team,” said Brand, who brings more than three and a half decades of international insurance experience to the post.
“It is a fantastic opportunity to lead the strategy for Continental Europe, as well as build out our offering for Sompo International in Europe as we continue to work towards making our sustainable growth ambitions a reality.”

In his new role, Brand will be overseeing Sompo International’s Continental Europe strategy while enhancing the firm’s proposition for both clients and distribution partners in the region.
