The County Group, which is under the Global Risk Partners (GRP) umbrella, has acquired Caernarfon-based Bruce Edwards Jones Commercial Insurance.

This is County’s fourth swoop of 2019, following deals with Swinford Insurance Consultants, Meadons Insurance Brokers, and Eric Rawlins & Company.

“I am delighted that we have managed to secure another fantastic business that complements our strategy,” said County group managing director Alastair Christopherson. “Thanks to the backing and support of GRP, we have a winning formula for vendors and long may it continue.”

As part of the acquisition, Bruce Edwards Jones will retain its branding and serve as a County trading name. Its workforce of six people will also stay with the commercial risks specialist.

“After various discussions with Alastair and Keith Frost we felt The County Group was the right fit for Bruce Edwards Jones, enabling us to continue the growth trajectory of our business while still being able to offer an excellent personal service to our clients,” noted partner Aled Edwards.

“We now look forward to working with the whole team over the coming years to build our presence further in North Wales.”
