Thomas Miller Group (Thomas Miller), an international insurance services provider, has announced that Hugh Titcomb will replace Bruce Kesterton as its new chief executive, subject to shareholder approval.

Titcomb has been with Thomas Miller since 2016, having held a broad range of senior leadership roles across the financial services sector. The board has selected him as the new chief executive following a rigorous selection process internally and externally.

Currently the chief executive of Thomas Miller’s investment business, Titcomb has a solid understanding of the group’s investment business, Thomas Miller Investment. He is also a member of the Group Executive Committee. With these roles, Titcomb has established valuable working relationships across the group’s managed and owned businesses and clients, third-party partners, and staff.

Commenting on the appointment, Thomas Miller chairman Charles Fenton said: “Hugh has an impressive track record within Thomas Miller and the broader financial services sector. He has valuable experience in leadership roles, and I, along with my colleagues on the Thomas Miller board, very much look forward to working with him as we continue our focus on serving our clients and developing the business.”

Former Thomas Miller chief executive Bruce Kesterton, who joined Thomas Miller in 1987 and has been a member of the Thomas Miller Holdings board since 1999, will depart the group to retire.

Commenting on Kesterton’s history with the firm, Fenton said: “Bruce has had a long and distinguished career at Thomas Miller, spanning over 35 years, and we are enormously grateful for his leadership which has helped to make Thomas Miller into the industry-leading firm it is today.”
