Tokio Marine HCC (TMHCC) International has appointed Stuart Heath (pictured above) as head of distribution – international, a newly created role focused on strengthening distribution relationships across the UK and Europe.

Heath will work with TMHCC International’s business units to develop new and existing partnerships, supporting the company’s broad portfolio of specialty products in the region.

Heath will report to Simon Button, chief underwriting officer, and will continue in his current role as Head of Delegated Property, which he has held since 2019. His expanded responsibilities will include overseeing collaboration between business units to enhance service delivery to clients, brokers, and reinsurance partners.

The announcement coincides with the appointment of Brendan Gaine as head of North American distribution. Gaine will focus on ensuring that Tokio Marine’s full range of capabilities is accessible to broker partners across the region.

With TMHCC providing more than 100 lines of specialty insurance in 180 countries, the company noted that the new roles are part of an effort to increase coordination within its global network. The company aims to improve access to its products as risk landscapes continue to evolve.

Button said that Heath’s experience in the UK and European markets will play a key role in supporting the company’s growth objectives.

“We’re delighted to be appointing Stuart to this new role. With his deep knowledge of TMHCC International, in addition to his vast experience working across the UK and European markets, he will be vital in driving us forward into our next chapter of growth,” Button said.

Heath said his focus will be on strengthening relationships with brokers and distribution partners while promoting knowledge sharing across the UK and European business units.

“I am excited to take on additional responsibilities in this newly created distribution role. My priority will be to continue strengthening our relationships with brokers and distribution partners, and to spearhead knowledge sharing across our UK and Europe business units,” Heath said.

Working alongside Gaine, Heath highlighted that the goal is to expand market reach and enhance access to the company’s specialty insurance products.
