Tokio Millennium Re picks up KPMG boss

Thirty-five year veteran most recently led the company’s operations in the UK and Europe

The reinsurance arm of the Tokio Marine Group has recruited former KPMG leader Richard Bennison to strengthen the company’s board of directors.
 
Tokio Millennium Re (TMR) recently announced the appointment of Bennison as an independent non-executive director with immediate effect.
 
“Richard brings with him a wide-ranging, international experience in financial services and other sectors adding a strong and diverse expertise to our board,” said Ian Brimecome, chairman of the board of directors.
 
Bennison has more than 35 years of experience in the financial sector. He has spent majority of his career with KPMG.
 
At the auditing and advisory giant, Bennison most recently held the roles of chief operating officer of KPMG Europe and chief executive officer of KPMG in the UK.
 
Bennison has experience across the insurance, asset management, retail and corporate banking sectors.
 
He also serves as the chairman of Tokio Marine Kiln Syndicates Limited and Tokio Marine Kiln Insurance Limited, both affiliates of TMR.
