Zurich Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg) has a new chief executive.

Taking the helm in Brussels with immediate effect is Drazen Jaksic (pictured) after he served as head of accident & health within commercial insurance. He succeeds Dirk De Nil, who is now Zurich Resilience Solutions global head in Switzerland.

“I am excited to join the Benelux team as we further advance Zurich’s position in this market and focus on continued execution against our strategic priorities,” Jaksic commented in an emailed release. “Knowing the strength and expertise of the Benelux team, I am confident and optimistic about leading the business in its next stage of development.”

Jaksic, who came on board the insurer in 2019, will be leading around 240 Zurich colleagues across the region. He brings more than three decades of industry experience to the post.

Commercial insurance CEO Sierra Signorelli had this to say: “He has successfully advanced our global accident & health capabilities and strengthened our position in this area with multinational customers. I am confident that Drazen will drive continued profitable growth in the region, focussing on meeting the evolving needs of our customers and distribution partners.”
