Compre reveals formation of global claims and operations function

Claims

Bermuda-based legacy group Compre has announced the creation of a global claims and operations function to streamline its operations following a year of significant growth and successful transactions in 2023.

This new structure is also a strategic move aimed at enhancing the management and solutions provided to its global client base, building on the momentum of completing four major deals, including a record transaction with SiriusPoint.

Simon Hawkins, previously CEO for Europe at Compre, has been promoted to executive managing director – operations, a newly established role that underscores the importance of this global function. Hawkins’ new position will focus on overseeing the integration and optimization of Compre’s claims and operations on a worldwide scale.

In a related development, David Presley, who was instrumental in expanding Compre’s footprint in the United States since joining in 2022 as CEO for North America, has departed from the company.

Will Bridger, Compre’s Group CEO, expressed his enthusiasm for Hawkins’ appointment.

“Simon will work closely with Dan Fiehn, COO, in driving automation and new technology through our business over the coming years,” Bridger said. “My thanks to David for his contribution to Compre. Having built our excellent team in the US, we wish him well for the future.”
