The British Drilling Association (BDA) has partnered with construction industry insurance specialist Genesis Risk Solutions Ltd to provide BDA members an exclusive scheme underwritten by Lloyd’s of London.

As part of the deal, members of the UK’s trade association for the ground drilling industry will get up to a 20% discount on insurance rates.

Covers available via the dedicated scheme set up by Genesis include:
  • contract works
  • ‎plant & machinery
  • ‎tools & goods in transit
  • ‎employers’ & public liability
  • ‎motor fleet
  • ‎professional indemnity
  • ‎commercial property & business interruption

According to Genesis, this scheme offering fully comprehensive insurance coverage for the drilling industry is an important milestone, considering the high-risk nature of the business.

“We are delighted to be working with the British Drilling Association and are particularly pleased that we are able to offer members an affordable and purpose-built insurance product,” said managing director Gavin Cheeseman.
