Three-decade industry veteran Adrian Burgess (pictured) has come onboard Ensurance UK as construction and engineering senior underwriter.
Burgess made the switch to the specialty lines managing general agent from HSB Engineering Insurance where he served as development underwriter. The key hire also brings experience from RSA, Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group, HDI Global, Allianz, and Zurich.
“I am pleased to be joining the Ensurance team at such an exciting time,” commented the engineering insurance expert.
“They have experienced impressive growth since they launched three years ago and have gained the respect of brokers and capacity providers right across the market. I’m looking forward to being part of their continued success.”
Meanwhile chief executive Tim James cited Burgess’ credentials.
James noted: “Adrian is a widely respected underwriter having spent many years working within the Lloyd’s, London, and international markets.
“His expertise in construction and engineering lines will enable us to further develop our presence in the London market and continue to provide first-rate support to our broker partners in this specialist sector.”
