Top industry broker joins construction line-up

Alesco Risk Management Services has boosted its 50-strong construction team with a top industry name.

Martin Hiller makes the switch from Willis Towers Watson to take the role of chairman of Alesco’s UK construction business, reporting to managing director John Thompson.

“Alesco has built one of the fastest growing London construction brokers over the last three years, during which time we have assembled a c.50-strong team of specialists,” said Thompson. “We are attracting the industry’s strongest talent and, as a market leader in construction, Martin will be at home and influential among our expanding team of first class practitioners.”

Hiller will move into the role later this year on the back of his stint as head of international construction at WTW. Prior to that he spent 10 years at JLT as head of specialty and was a founder of its construction division.

“The growth of the Alesco construction practice is impressive, as is the strong leadership and focus the business has on its people and client delivery,” said Hiller about his switch. “These factors, along with the added appeal of being a broker run by brokers, were all critical in my decision to join the team.
