Insurer CFC has announced the appointment of Jason Hart (pictured) as the head of proactive cyber.

A recognized cybersecurity thought leader and a longstanding member of the Forbes Technology Council, Hart brings over 20 years of experience in crafting and developing information security services.

In his new role, Hart will spearhead the continued development of CFC’s cyber threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, and threat detection service.

“CFC has led the cyber insurance market in developing products that not only respond to cyber events, but seek to prevent them from occurring in the first place,” said Jonathan Fletcher, chief technology officer at CFC. “In our view, proactively working to minimise cyber risk so that our customers can spend more time operating their businesses with confidence and thrive in today’s highly connected world, is the single most important job for any cyber insurer.”

Fletcher lauded Hart’s expertise in not only cybersecurity services but also in team-building, driving innovation, and extending offerings at a global scale.

“I can’t think of a better person to help us accelerate the evolution of our proactive cyber service with new cutting-edge proprietary technology,” said Fletcher.

Hart most recently served as a chief technology officer for EMEA at Rapid7, a Nasdaq-listed cybersecurity platform, alongside being a board advisor for various cybersecurity and technology businesses.

“I am thrilled to be joining CFC to head up their proactive cyber capabilities,” said Hart. “CFC is well known as an early pioneer in cyber insurance and an innovator in proactive threat prevention. I look forward to aligning my cybersecurity experience with the team’s deep knowledge and cutting-edge proprietary technology, to continue providing a market leading solution.”
