As it looks to develop its responsible business strategy and enhance its business framework, Liberty Specialty Markets has added to its roster with the appointment of Denise Delaney (pictured) as head of responsible business.

Delaney, who will be based in London, is set to report to group general counsel Nigel Davenport and the global LSM executive, with Davenport noting the urgency for the company to operate responsibly and demonstrate that to its stakeholders.

“Our clients, customers and employees have signaled that they want to work with and for a business that consciously considers its impact on the environment, broader society and communities,” he said.

“Denise has a strong track record advising a range of companies across industries to set and implement leading sustainability strategies as well as experience in the not-for-profit, charity and ethical sectors. She brings unique expertise to our team and will help us increase the momentum behind our ESG agenda.”

Delaney is making the switch from Environmental Resources Management, where she was both a partner and head of corporate sustainability services for Northern Europe. She is also a member of the UN Environment Programme’s Global Environment Outlook for Business.
