AXA is shaking up its mid-market products and has today announced the launch of a new hotels, hospitality and leisure proposition.

The insurance giant, which is examining its Vantage mid-market products, is aiming the new policy at businesses in the sector with premiums from £10,000-£100,000. Among the changes is the introduction of cover for loss of wedding and civil partnership licenses, as well as full theft protection for hotels that have permanent occupancy.

In addition, the firm is giving policyholders the chance to claim up to £1 million for public liability environmental clean-up costs and there is increased protection in case of death or disablement to key employees.

“Business owners in the mid-market sector want policies that are easy to understand and meet all their needs, allowing them to focus on the day-to-day running of their companies,” said Jon Walker, managing director, commercial intermediary at AXA Insurance.

“Our new hotels, hospitality and leisure policy recognises some of the recent changes in this extremely diverse market sector and is part of wider plans to update our suite of mid-market propositions.”

As part of its wider revamp, AXA also shook up its manufacturing proposition back in June, as well as its construction product earlier this month.
