Norfolk-based Uttings Insurance Brokers has been acquired by independent insurance brokerage One Broker Group for an undisclosed sum.

“The two businesses have known each other for some time, and both share the same ethos and desire to look after their staff and provide superlative customer service,” said One Broker chief executive Robin Plaster (pictured), whose camp now consists of over 110 employees with the arrival of Uttings.

The deal also makes the East Anglian company a £60 million-plus GWP (gross written premium) business operating in three offices.

Happy to join the One Broker family is Uttings managing director Mark Edmunds, who commented: “High-quality independent insurance brokers are becoming increasingly rare, and we are delighted to be joining one of East Anglia’s finest.”

Without providing the financial terms of the transaction, Plaster added that Uttings was a natural fit for One Broker.
