Global professional services firm Aon has appointed Charles Knight (pictured) as global yacht manager, specialist in yacht and pleasure craft.
Knight officially joined Aon on May 03, 2022, and reports to Aon global yacht leader Emma Carpenter. He will help drive the development of Aon’s small yacht offering for the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world, a release said.
With more than 18 years of marine insurance experience, Knight joins Aon from Zurich Insurance-owned Navigators & General, where he was responsible for the company’s yacht, delegated authority, and commercial marine sales and development for seven years. Before that role, Knight served as underwriter for yacht at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty.
“Charles has a wealth of experience, strong track record, and extensive knowledge of all the complexities of small yachts. We are pleased to welcome him to the team as we focus on deepening our specialist expertise and see significant potential for growth in this area,” commented Emma Carpenter on Knight’s appointment.
“I’m delighted to join Aon and look forward to supporting its impressive network of clients, helping them access smaller craft solutions and better capitalise on diversified opportunities,” said Knight.
