BGC Insurance Group’s (BGCI) UK-based managing general agent Globe Underwriting has tapped David Dymond to succeed Peter Rogers as head of marine and transport effective immediately.

“We have an experienced and capable successor in David,” noted Globe Underwriting chief executive Andrew Wallin, who is also chief commercial officer of BGCI. “For the past three years he has been head of underwriting for marine and transport, working alongside Peter.

“Coupled with his expertise, skills, and market reputation, this ensures that clients will experience continuity of excellent service.”

Dymond’s more than 34 years of industry experience includes time spent at Tokio Marine Kiln, Lonham Group Ltd, Allianz, and International Transport and Maritime Underwriters. His predecessor, who is retiring, will stay with the MGA until January 2020 to facilitate the transition.

“We are very fortunate to have benefited from Peter’s expertise,” stated Wallin. “He has been a highly valued member of the team, having been instrumental in establishing and leading Globe’s first-class marine and transport specialism.

“We wish Peter the very best in his retirement.”
