The Global Maritime Forum, which this year is setting sail for Singapore where its annual summit will be held in October, has found an ally in the form of North P&I Club.

It’s been announced that the British marine insurer has partnered with the forum, joining industry leaders in their commitment to shaping the sector’s future. The gathering serves as a platform where opportunities for collaboration and problem-solving are created among industry players and other stakeholders.

“One of North’s strategic objectives is to support the maritime industry in becoming more globally responsible and therefore this partnership is key to our corporate and social responsibility across our global markets,” explained chief executive Paul Jennings.

“The forum’s initiatives such as decarbonisation and safety are in keeping with the guidance and support we provide to our shipowner members.”

Commenting on the tie-up, Global Maritime Forum managing director Michael Sosted said confidence is the foundation for global seaborne trade.

“North P&I Club is a leading marine mutual liability insurer,” asserted Sosted. “Their deep insight into the maritime industry will help us drive positive change to the benefit of business and society as a whole.”
