Allianz Commercial has announced the formation of a new financial lines team that will operate across three regional hubs.

This newly formed team will focus exclusively on Allianz’s directors & office and professional indemnity propositions. By working closely with branch distribution teams and local brokers, they aim to increase market presence and enable streamlined trading.

The appointments for the specialist hubs are as follows:

Northern Hub (Manchester, Leeds, Newcastle, Glasgow, and Belfast):

  • Gareth Machin – Senior Financial Lines Underwriter
  • Maggie Kwok – Financial Lines Underwriter
  • David Aguirreburualde – Financial Lines Underwriter

Midlands/South West Hub (Bristol, Birmingham, and Cardiff):

  • Luke Hayne – Senior Financial Lines Underwriter
  • Antionette Amory – Financial Lines Underwriter
  • Caitlin Davies – Financial Lines Underwriter
  • Daniel West – Financial Lines Underwrite

South East Hub (Maidstone, Chelmsford, London, and Southampton):

  • Lucy Bunnett – Senior Professional Indemnity Underwriter

In a press release announcing the formation of the team, Dave Carey, managing director, mid-market at Allianz Commercial, expressed his satisfaction with the new financial lines underwriting team and the investment made in recruiting the best individuals. He also spoke of the regional hubs’ significance in empowering underwriters to work closely and efficiently with brokers in their respective areas.

“We have ambitious plans for growth and I’m excited that we’re embarking on this new strategy together,” he added.

The news of Allianz Commercial’s new financial lines team comes after the promotion of Harriet Allen and Vicky Barrett to broker segment managers, which are newly created posts within broker distribution management.
