Brunel Professions reveals new partnership with Mercia Group

Professional Risks

A new partnership has been born – and it’s one that offers a neat incentive in the professional indemnity insurance (PII) space.

Brunel Professions Ltd is teaming up with training and support service provider Mercia Group to offer a preferential deal to its clients within the UK accountancy profession.

In a release announcing the deal it was outlined that Brunel typically secures savings for clients on renewal premiums, with those firms that boast strong training and compliance procedures enjoying bigger discounts as they typically have a better understanding of risk management. As such, Brunel director Jonathan Filer explained, Mercia will be able to offer this deal to clients using its services.

“Brunel is extremely excited to be working with the Mercia Group and their clients. Mercia’s support of their clients in respect of risk management and mitigation is well in keeping with Brunel’s own approach and we look forward to a long working relationship,” he said. “Brunel’s independent market approach and bespoke offerings for Mercia clients will support firms with a unique, easy proposition in the current testing economic and insurance environments.”

David Norris, director at Mercia Group, pointed to the two companies holding the same values towards both training and risk management.

“I am delighted to be working with Brunel on a special PII offering for Mercia clients - the relationship Brunel has with its clients and pro-active way it seeks to support them, fits very well with the way we work at Mercia,” he said. “I hope many firms will take the time to look at this new scheme and find out for themselves how Brunel can help them.”
