With the goal of expanding its offering in the London market, CNA Hardy has welcomed Edward Crew (pictured above) and Oliver Devenish (pictured below) as senior technical underwriter and underwriter, respectively, within its London/Lloyd’s management liability team.

According to CNA Hardy, both Crew and Devenish will be based in London and work across the Lloyd’s and company platforms. Their addition brings CNA Hardy’s underwriter management liability team to five members.

Crew has nine years of management liability experience, covering a range of roles in both broking and underwriting. He joins from Zurich, where he was a senior underwriter for five years.

Devenish has six years of management liability expertise, including underwriting a variety of medium sized/large risks across the management liability product suite. Most recently working for Chubb, he has also managed multinational accounts with the inclusion of local policy programs.

“Edward and Oliver bring a wealth of experience and track record that aligns with our strategy to become a market leading management liability insurer in the UK and replicate the success we have had in North America,” said CNA Hardy class underwriter – management liability Yogesh Virji. “These appointments underpin our long-term commitment to the management liability market and I look forward to them forming an integral part of our exciting next phase of development.”

Last week, CNA Hardy appointed Raphael Borrel to the role of director of risks. Borrel, who joins from AXA XL, will be responsible for developing risk strategy and framework and leading the company’s risk function.
