A professional indemnity policy focused on freelance UK solicitors regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority has been introduced to the market.

Specialist managing general agent Inperio (London) Limited has partnered with program underwriter Accredited Insurance (Europe) Limited (AIEL) to launch the timely product.

Lifting the lid on the proposition, Inperio chief executive Simon Lovat stated: “Since the introduction of the new Freelance Solicitors regulations in November 2019, the legal industry has been looking for a suitable solution and now we are in a position to offer it.’’

Meanwhile the camp of AIEL, an R&Q unit, is just as happy to be involved.

“We are really excited to be supporting Inperio, and offering this new and much needed product to freelance solicitors,” commented Colin Johnson, chief executive of AIEL Program Management.

“It reflects the strength of our relationship which combines Inperio’s expert underwriting and knowledge of the market with Accredited’s strong balance sheet, high-quality capacity, and a culture of acting swiftly to meet customers’ ever-changing requirements.”
