Specialist professional services firm Davies has closed its acquisition of Nationwide Property Assistance (NPA), a home emergency specialist.

Based in Birmingham, UK, NPA offers claims management and command centre solutions to housebuilders, housing associations, and insurance companies.

Following the transaction, NPA will form part of Davies’s existing claims solutions business in the UK – in particular, the acquisition adds NPA’s 24/7 home emergency assistance service to Davies’s suite of end-to-end claims solutions.

NPA CEO Nick Haycock will continue to lead the business following the acquisition, and will report to Davies managing director Russell Crewe. In addition, all 190 NPA employees will continue in their current roles as Davies colleagues.

“It’s great to welcome Nick and the whole NPA team to Davies. The deal brings a team of home emergency experts who will complement our end-to-end claims solutions and broaden our capabilities for our clients,” said Davies group CEO Dan Saulter.

Saulter added that many of Davies’s clients are looking to work with fewer strategic partners with a more comprehensive range of solutions – thus the acquisition of companies like NPA “remains a central pillar to [Davies’s] growth strategy.” The group CEO also noted that house-building activity in the UK is anticipated to increase in the coming years, so the acquisition better positions Davies for organic growth.

“We are delighted to join Davies and bring a new set of technical expertise to the firm. Davies’s story of growth and investment in people and technology is one that resonated with our team,” commented NPA CEO Nick Haycock.
