Landmark Underwriting has teamed up with AmTrust International for a new property binding authority for excess insurance and reinsurance business.

“We are a specialist MGA and we are delighted to begin the next phase of our strategy with the addition of a property capability within the London Market,” Landmark managing director David Ratledge said in an emailed release.

“We look forward to delivering on our promises to AmTrust, our brokers, and our (re)insureds.”

In charge of the new product is property head Andrew Ravenscroft (pictured), who came on board in January. The MGA rolled out the new product on June 1.

“I am very excited about this new offering and brings much-needed capacity into this space; the rating environment is strong in UK property in our preferred areas of excess layer insurance and [facultative] reinsurance,” Ravenscroft said.
