There’s a new division at what is described as the largest independent insurance broker in Nottingham.

Building on its existing healthcare provision, Russell Scanlan has created a business protection and healthcare unit which encompasses traditional private medical insurance, health and wellbeing support plans, and business protection policies.

It will be headed by business healthcare manager Chris Cunnington (pictured), who has specialised in private healthcare and employee benefits for more than two decades.

“The diverse nature of businesses means that one size does not fit all,” commented Russell Scanlan managing director Bryan Banbury, who cited the benefits of corporate healthcare insurance and business protection plans.

“Sole traders, SMEs, and larger organisations all have different needs, priorities, and budgets. With our new suite of plans we can offer bespoke packages that are tailored to meet the needs of all business – large or small.”

He noted that the division’s offerings can help create staff loyalty and improve company efficiency as well as ensure the business stays on track in the untimely death or inability to work, due to a serious illness, of key personnel.

Russell Scanlan, which works with Vitality for its protection policies, is also part of Equipsme’s broker panel. Backed by AXA PPP healthcare, the latter offers affordable health insurance plans to small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.

“As a business, your people are often your most important asset and a healthy workplace is a happier, more productive one,” added Cunnington. “Our specialist division will help identify key priorities, guide you to the best available solution and provide ongoing support.”
