Alera Group has welcomed Sally Prather (pictured) into the company; she joins the firm’s employee benefits team as practice leader.
As practice leader of employee benefits, Prather’s responsibilities include the development of the practice, which involves platform expansion and resource coordination.
Before joining Alera Group, Prather served as vice-president during her time with Paychex Insurance Agency; she has more than 25 years of industry experience.
“Sally is an outstanding addition to Alera Group’s leadership team, and we look forward to the impact of her expertise on our employee benefits practice,” remarked Alera Group president Jim Blue, adding that Prather’s experience and collaborative management style makes her the perfect leader of the benefits team ,as it looks to expand both organically and acquisitively.

In August, Alera Group acquired the employee benefits consulting firm Benefit Commerce Group in Scottsdale, AZ. Following the acquisition, BCG continued operating out of its current location under the Alera brand.
