Hub International has acquired the assets of EB Specialists Inc., operating as Guru of Insurance, and Allegiant Global Partners (AGP), as part of its continued expansion in employee benefits and risk consulting.
Terms of both transactions were not disclosed.
Guru of Insurance, based in King George, Virginia, provides employee benefits planning and group benefits services to clients in the region. David Rao, president of Guru of Insurance, and his team will join Hub Mid-Atlantic. The firm will operate under the name of Guru of Insurance, a Hub International company.
AGP, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, advises global employers on international health, welfare, and risk strategies. The firm serves a range of clients including international NGOs, higher education institutions, and domestic nonprofit organizations.
Jay Bride, founder and CEO, Denis Guay, president and chief customer officer, and the AGP team will join Hub’s National Employee Benefits group and Hub New England. AGP will continue operating under the name AGP, a Hub International company.
In recent years, Hub has maintained a steady pace of mergers and acquisitions, targeting firms that enhance its expertise in areas such as global benefits, retirement planning, wealth management, and risk advisory.
Hub’s acquisition activity has included both employee benefits and property and casualty insurance businesses across North America. The firm has made several purchases in 2024 and 2025, further reinforcing its position as one of the most active consolidators in the insurance brokerage space. Many of these deals are designed to expand geographic reach, deepen service capabilities, or strengthen its position in industry verticals such as healthcare, education, and non-profits.
