Allianz Commercial has announced leadership promotions within its North American Financial Lines and Property divisions.
Effective immediately, Nancy Dorvil, head of Property Canada, will succeed Jenise Klein as regional head of property North America. Eric Wedin, regional head of commercial and financial institutions, will take over from Jarrod Schlesinger as regional head of financial lines, North America.
Dorvil, who will be based in New York, will report to Jenise Klein, CUO for North America, and have a dotted line reporting relationship with Michael Martin, global head of property. Dorvil joined Allianz in 2013 as an underwriter in the engineering line of business and became head of property, Canada in 2019.
In this role, she aligned the Canadian property line of business with North American and global strategies. Dorvil is also a founding member of the North America Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging Steering Committee.
Wedin, also based in New York, will report to Klein and have a dotted line reporting to Jarrod Schlesinger, global head of financial lines and cyber. Wedin joined the company in 2023 as regional head of commercial and financial institutions, North America, focusing on underwriting, growth and operational strategies.
Commenting on the appointments, Klein expressed confidence in Dorvil and Wedin. “Having had the privilege of getting to know both Nancy and Eric in their prior roles, I am confident in their abilities as strong leaders and experts, and have every confidence they will continue to build on our great momentum in North America Property and Financial Lines.”
In November 2024, the company also made changes to its leadership team, with Shanil Williams being appointed to lead Allianz Commercial’s operations in the Americas, while Vanessa Maxwell was named chief underwriting officer.
