Chubb Group treasurer Mark Hammond (pictured) is taking on the additional remit of deputy chief financial officer effective July 01.

The newly created position will see Hammond assist incoming CFO Peter Enns, who recently came onboard the property and casualty insurance giant as executive vice president for finance before succeeding Chubb chief financial officer Philip Bancroft who is retiring next month.

Hammond, who has more than three decades of insurance and public accounting experience, has served as Chubb’s treasurer since 2019. The Deloitte alumnus has been with the global insurance group since 2009, with CFO of the Europe and Eurasia & Africa regions among his previous posts.

“Mark has been with the company for a dozen years,” commented Enns, “and is recognized for his technical proficiency, leadership, and general management skills in both US and international finance organizations.

“I look forward to working with Mark and benefiting from his experience and assistance as our global finance organization pursues its key priorities and strategies.”
