Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has announced the acquisition of Connecticut-based WDK Benefits. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

WDK Benefits, headquartered in Farmington, Conn., and led by John Kaufman, is an employee benefits agency that focuses on health and welfare for businesses in the New England region.

As part of the transaction, Kaufman and his associates will remain at their current location. They will report to John Neumaier, head of employee benefits consulting and brokerage operations for Gallagher’s East region.

“WDK Benefits has a strong record of growth with a culture aligned with our own, and their employee benefits expertise will enhance our capabilities in New England,” said J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and CEO of Gallagher. “I am very pleased to welcome John and his team to Gallagher.”

Earlier this week, Gallagher announced the acquisition of The Evans Agency, a commercial P&C firm headquartered in Williamsville, N.Y. The company also recently acquired Massachusetts-based Eastern Insurance Group.
