A series of senior appointments have been announced across the insurance sector.
Commercial property insurer FM has appointed Tara Long (pictured above, left) as senior vice president and chief information officer. Long, who previously held senior roles at MassMutual, will oversee FM’s global technology strategy.
Her appointment signals FM’s focus on strengthening its digital capabilities at a time when property risks and client demands are evolving.
CRC Benefits has named Leah Ponsford (pictured above, right) as benefits sales executive in Woodland Hills, California.
With nearly 30 years of health insurance experience, Ponsford’s appointment reflects ongoing demand for specialized employee benefits solutions, particularly as healthcare cost inflation continues to challenge employers.
Ryan Specialty Underwriting Managers (RSUM) has appointed Alan Ferguson as chief executive officer of US Assure, effective September 1, 2025.
Ferguson, who will remain president, takes over from Ty Petway, who is retiring after more than 30 years with the firm. The transition follows Ryan Specialty’s acquisition of US Assure in 2024, a move that expanded its program administration capabilities.
Intact Insurance Specialty Solutions has named Tony Beal as chief distribution officer in the US.
Based in Cincinnati, Beal brings more than two decades of distribution leadership experience at US carriers. The appointment comes as Intact continues to expand its specialty insurance footprint in the American market.
Emerald Bay Risk Solutions has added Matthew Moore as CFO and Sarah Anyieth as COO.
Moore, who has more than 15 years of experience, joins from Core Specialty, where he was CFO of Insurance Operations. Meanwhile, Anyieth previously worked for Riveron as its managing director in the business transformation practice.
Their appointments bolster the company’s finance and operational leadership as it looks to scale its specialty platform and compete more broadly with established players.
