Global brokerage Lockton has appointed Nicholas Dobelbower as senior vice president and director of the global benefits practice, a US-based unit that assists Lockton clients in leveraging the company’s worldwide resources to address multinational benefits needs.

“The global benefits expertise Nick brings to the global benefits practice will be an essential part of Lockton’s growth in the global benefits space,” said Tom Schaffler, CEO of Lockton’s Midwest Series. “His tenure with Lockton and vast knowledge of the industry will support the long-term strength of this global benefits practice.”

Dobelbower joined Lockton in 2011 and was most recently intellectual capital practice leader for Lockton global benefits. Prior to joining Lockton, he was engaged in international consulting and research work with multinational clients, establishing and managing affiliate relationships with IBIS Advisors and the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris.

Dobelbower “is the latest addition to Lockton’s exceptional global leadership team,” said Peter Clune, US president and chief operating officer. “With the collaborative expertise of Nick on the US benefits business, along with Simon Gilliat in his international role, and Michael Lombardi who is focused on our global risk business, Lockton’s global presence is stronger and more impactful than ever.”
