Lockton Benefit Group has announced the appointment of Mike Mascolo as its chief operating officer. In his new role, Mascolo will coordinate and collaborate across the benefits group and play a key role in working with insurers and other business partners.

Mascolo has more than two decades of experience in the healthcare and insurance space. For the last decade, he has worked at Wells Fargo Insurance, most recently as the company’s employee benefits national practice resource leader.

“(Mascolo’s) stellar reputation in our industry, coupled with his personable nature, makes him a natural fit for Lockton,” said Bob Reiff, president of Lockton Benefits Group. “We have some of the best minds in the business, and Mike’s leadership will certainly enhance our already outstanding capabilities.”

Mascolo will be based in Lockton’s Kansas City, Mo., office.
