McGill and Partners has appointed Anna Beadsmoore (pictured) as a partner in its property and casualty team, along with Jessica Cook who comes on board as an associate. The duo’s addition creates a new subspecialty within the specialist (re)insurance broker that is focused on legal liabilities.

Beadsmoore joins the team from Gallagher where she built and led the legal indemnity team as executive director. Meanwhile Cook, a respected operator, brings more than six years of experience in the legal indemnities market.

According to the company, the two will be able to work seamlessly with the mergers and acquisitions, construction, and energy teams at McGill and Partners to better understand their clients’ needs and provide a comprehensive proposition.

“We’re thrilled that Anna and Jessica are joining the complex property and casualty team at McGill and Partners,” said complex property and casualty head Chris Stevenson in a release.

“Anna’s track record of building a successful business in this space will be invaluable as we continue to broaden our offering to our clients and, with Jessica’s support, I look forward to what the future brings for the team as we continue to go from strength to strength.”

Beadsmoore and Cook come to McGill and Partners after the company welcomed Peter Stubbings as a partner in its Bermuda location in June.
