Online insurance placement platform Insurance Noodle announced Monday a guide that helps independent agents close sales with the construction industry.

The guide, entitled Building Stronger Businesses: The Insurance Agent's Guide to Insuring Construction and Contracting Professionals, could not have picked a better time to be released, with the construction industry about to enter its busy season and the housing market displaying signs of improvement.

This is Insurance Noodle’s fifth guide in a series of industry-specific sales guides.

"If agents don't have information about risk in different industries, they may have to turn away business," said Insurance Noodle president Ralph Blust. "Nobody wants that."

"Agents need to keep learning at every stage of their career if they want to continue to grow," Blust added, highlighting the importance of agent education. "Our goal is to provide valuable tools they can use to learn about an industry, decide if it's an appropriate market for their agency to target, and create a strategy that will bring in business."

The guide is currently free to download as an eBook on the Agent Academy—Insurance Noodle’s educational resource hub made available to all insurance agents.
