WTW has announced the appointment of Giovanni Smyth as regional leader for North and Latin America for its Insurance Consulting and Technology (ITC) business. Smyth has worked across the insurance value chain, and has expertise in distribution, underwriting, pricing, reserving and capital modeling.

Smyth joins WTW from Nationwide Mutual, where he led data, analytics and reporting organizations for the property and casualty division. Prior to that, he held technical and leadership roles in the company’s enterprise risk and capital management business. Smith also served in operations roles across the company’s life and financial services and P&C divisions.
