Millers Mutual Insurance has announced the appointment of Steve Zickefoose as assistant vice president of claims.

Zickefoose stepped into the role on Jan. 15. He joins Millers Mutual from Hartford Mutual, where he served as director of claims. Prior to that, Zickefoose spent most of his career at Westfield Insurance.

In his new role, Zickefoose will work with Tim Kirk, vice president of claims. He will oversee the strategic and operational direction of the claims department.

Zickefoose holds a bachelor’s degree from Bowling Green State University. He has also completed The Institutes UVA Darden Executive Leadership Program and holds the Associate in Claims and Senior Claim Law Associate designations. Zickefoose is a military veteran who served 23 years as an aviator for the US Army.
