CRC Group, a wholesale specialty insurance distributor in North America, has announced the appointment of Andrew Grim as senior vice president within the company’s national construction practice group.
Based in Dallas, Texas, Grim’s role will focus on expanding the group’s national reach and advancing CRC’s commitment to providing tailored insurance solutions for its clients and partners.
Grim brings over a decade of experience from a wholesale brokerage firm, where he held leadership positions, including executive director of specialty and national casualty practice leader. His work included overseeing growth in practice groups, developing excess & surplus lines products, and managing complex casualty insurance programs. His expertise spans residential, commercial and public works construction, real estate portfolios and consolidated insurance programs, including CIPs, OCIPs, and CCIPs.
In addition to his production experience, Grim has contributed significantly to professional development within the industry.
“We are thrilled to welcome Andrew to our construction practice,” said Evan Aldrich, national construction practice group leader. “Andrew brings a wealth of niche expertise, an unwavering commitment to client relationships, and a collaborative leadership style that perfectly aligns with our team’s values. Together, we’re poised to deliver even greater value and differentiated results to our clients and partners.”
The move aligns with CRC’s strategy to expand its footprint in the construction insurance market. CRC Commercial Solutions chief executive officer Mike Brennan emphasized the importance of Grim’s appointment as part of the company’s growth efforts.
“Andrew’s appointment is a testament to our continued investment in exceptional talent. We are committed to growth in the construction space, and Andrew represents a significant step towards that realization,” Brennan said. “With more exciting announcements on the horizon, we’re positioning for a banner 2025 and beyond.”
Earlier this month, Gino Franco and Luke Redd also joined the company’s team. Franco joined the Denver office as a broker, while Redd joined as a property broker in the Chicago office. The company said their appointments are part of its strategic initiative to expand its capabilities and better serve retail agency clients in the US.
