Insurance Business America (IBA) has released its 2025 rankings of cyber insurance providers, based on evaluations from insurance brokers across the country.
The annual 5-Star Cyber awards recognize carriers that brokers rated highly across several core performance areas related to cyber risk coverage.
Selection process for 2025 list
The 2025 rankings were developed through a 15-week research process led by IBA’s editorial and research teams.
Industry experts conducted one-on-one interviews with cyber insurance brokers and surveyed thousands more from IBA’s professional network.
Initially, participating brokers were asked to identify the features they considered most important in a cyber policy. These included the breadth and clarity of coverage, pricing structures, claims handling capabilities, policy flexibility, and the overall quality of cyber risk products.
After outlining these priorities, brokers assessed the insurers they had worked with based on how well those carriers delivered on these criteria. The resulting data was then combined with editorial insights to finalize the list of top performers.
