National insurance and wealth services firm Alera Group has announced the acquisition of California-based iPros Insurance Professionals.

iPros Insurance Professionals is a broker-focused field marketing organization that specializes in Medicare Advantage, Medicare supplements, state-based marketplaces, the federally facilitated marketplace and small group lines of business.

“With more than 50 years of combined experience, our team possesses a deep knowledge of managed healthcare, market guidelines, technological solutions, compliance and agent needs,” said Juan Gallardo, CEO and president of iPros Insurance Professionals. “With the right coverage, people can have security and peace of mind for themselves and their family. Our ultimate goal is to provide our broker partners with the necessary tools and resources to improve access to health insurance coverage for their clients.”

iPros Insurance Professionals serves insurance agents nationwide. The firm specializes in Medicare Advantage plans, Covered California Individual and Family Plans, supplemental, small group employer benefits, life insurance, special needs plans, and prescription drug plans (Part D).

“The significant investment iPros has made to provide exceptional support, new tools, and comprehensive training and career development to their partners have made this acquisition invaluable to our growing network of producers and advisors and the clients they represent,” said Alan Levitz, CEO of Alera Group. “We look forward to integrating the iPros expansive portfolio of products and services throughout Alera Group.”

iPros is the latest acquisition by Alera Group. Earlier this month, the firm snapped up Florida-based Wilson, Washburn & Forster Insurance. In January, the group acquired North Carolina-based John Hackney Agency and Colorado-headquartered Insurance Benefits by Design.
