Workers’ compensation specialist The MEMIC Group has announced the appointment of Kim Wilson as senior production underwriter for Georgia. Wilson’s appointment will support the company’s continued growth in the Georgia market.

Wilson has more than 15 years of insurance industry experience. She began her career as a casualty claims adjuster, moved into personal lines underwriting and then to commercial lines underwriting.

Wilson holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Mississippi. She holds the Associate in General Insurance, Associate in Personal Insurance and Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designations, and is currently completing the Associate in Commercial Insurance designation.

The MEMIC Group is a super-regional workers’ compensation insurer that holds licenses to write workers’ comp across the country. The group insures more than 20,000 employers with an estimated 300,000 employees and holds more than $1.4 billion in assets.
